WARNING: DISTRESSING CONTENT – Charity Beallis and her twin children were found dead in their home after the mother admitted that she feared her ex-husband was going to kill her
An Arkansas mother allegedly said she knew her ex-husband was going to kill her and admitted fearing for her kids’ lives before she was found dead alongside her twin children.
Charity Beallis, 40, and her two 6-year-old children were found shot to death at their home in Bonzana on December 3, just one day after she and her ex, Dr. Randall Beallis, had a final divorce hearing. Deputies with the Sebastian County Sheriff’s Office went to the residence at around 9:30 am on Wednesday after receiving a request for a welfare check.
Law enforcement was initially unable to get any response from the home but eventually gained entry with help from two workers at the home. “Upon entering the home, they found three deceased individuals, a woman and two deceased children. It was apparent that the three had gunshot wounds,” the Sheriff’s Office said.

The Sheriff’s Office said search warrants have been executed and interviews have taken place, but they have not released details about a possible suspect. Court records show that Dr Beallis was arrested in February for aggravated assault on a family member, third-degree domestic battery, and two counts of third-degree endangering the welfare of a minor.
Charity’s father, Randy Powell, told 5News that Dr Beallis “choked” Charity in front of her children. Charity filed for divorce in March and asked for sole custody of the twins, citing a history of violence in the home. In October, Dr Beallis reached an agreement and pleaded guilty to third-degree battery. A no-contact order had been in place at the time.
Arkansas State Senator Terry Rice told 5News that Charity came to him for help earlier this year, telling him she feared for her life and her children. Randy claims that Charity believed her ex-husband was going to kill her. He told KNWA that there was no one else that had any reason to harm Charity or her children.
“One moment I’ll be crying and the next minute I’m mad. I don’t even know how to explain it,” Randy said. “I never expected to ever have to go through something like this in my life.” Charity’s father said that law enforcement failed to contact him following Charity’s death.
John Powell, Charity’s oldest son, said his mother had been fighting “tooth and nail” for months to keep his siblings safe. “My mother fought for nine months, the last nine months, to save her life and them babies, and nothing happened,” John said. “Now all three of them is dead.”
John revealed he’s now been left fearing for his own life. “Well, I’m scared to death for my life at this point,” he said. Dr Beallis has not been named as a suspect and has not been charged in the case.
“Mr. Beallis has been cooperative with law enforcement and fully supports the Sebastian County Sheriff’s Office investigation. We hope that the sheriff’s office finds the truth about what happened to Mrs. Charity Beallis and their children,” Dr Beallis’ attorney, Michael D Pierce, said in a statement.
Pierce also claimed that his client was recently awarded joint custody of the twins during the December 2 hearing and that the children were set to spend more time with him moving forward. Dr Beallis’ attorney filed a motion to dismiss the divorce a day after Charity and her children were found dead, KNWA reports.
All three victims were taken to the Arkansas Crime Lab in Little Rock for an autopsy to determine the exact cause of death. “Information is still being gathered. The investigation is ongoing,” the Sebastian County Sheriff’s Office said.
