LOUISVILLE, Ky. (WAVE) – A man was arrested on Thursday in connection with a September shooting in the Russell neighborhood, according to Louisville Metro Police.
18-year-old Rodshawn Taylor was arrested on Dec. 4, 2025, in connection with a shooting that took place in the 2700 block of West Madison Street that left a woman in the hospital this past September.
According to court documents, an officer pulled Taylor over during a traffic stop on Thursday due to the suspect having an active warrant out for his arrest.
During the stop, the officer discovered that the passenger in the vehicle was the victim of the shooting.
After running Taylor through the service channel, it was discovered that the victim had an active Protection Order against him in Indiana, meaning that Taylor was prohibited from being within 500 feet of her or having any form of contact.
The suspect was taken into custody and is being charged with assault and violation of a foreign IPO.
Taylor is currently being held at the Louisville Metro Department of Corrections. His arraignment is scheduled for Friday, Dec. 5, at 9:00 a.m.
