Third suspect in custody in deadly 2025 shooting in Nashville

NASHVILLE, Tenn. (WSMV) – The third suspect in a deadly 2025 shooting is now in custody, according to the Metro Nashville Police Department.

MNPD said 19-year-old Calviona Dobbins turned herself in at police headquarters Thursday night. She was wanted on warrants for criminal homicide and especially aggravated robbery related to the shooting death of 22-year-old Marek Winters.

“Dobbins admitted during an interview with Homicide Unit detectives to her role in setting up the victims under the guise of a narcotics transaction that ultimately led to the fatal gunfire,” MNPD said.

On November 22, 2025, Marek Winters, 22, and his 16-year-old friend were shot during an alleged drug transaction at the Willow Pointe apartment complex in Antioch.

According to officers at the scene that night, Winters drove away with the injured teenager and crashed their Honda sedan at a nearby Mapco station on Bell Road.

Emergency personnel arrived and transported both of them to Vanderbilt University Medical Center, where Winters later died. The teenager was stabilized, according to the report.

MNPD said Dobbins is the third and final suspect being charged in Winters’s death. Teen brothers, Therese Gaddy and Justus Gaddy, were arrested and charged with criminal homicide, attempted criminal homicide and unlawful gun possession in Juvenile Court last year.
