Man charged for fatal November shooting

ST. LOUIS, Mo. (First Alert 4) -A man was charged Friday with a fatal shooting that occurred in November.

Marquise Louis Porter, 19, has been charged with one count of first-degree murder and armed criminal action.

According to court records, St. Louis Metropolitan officers responded to a call at the intersection of Sullivan and Warne avenues on November 25 shortly before 5 p.m.

There, they found Damien Webb, 46, lying on the sidewalk of Bishop L. Scott just south of Sullivan.

Webb had injuries to his head and was pronounced dead at 5:25 p.m.

Webb’s social media and phone records led to Porter.

Text messages between Webb and Porter indicate they were going to meet where Webb was killed.

Surveillance video from a convenience store nearby shows Webb buying groceries, including a pack of Ramen noodles.

Officers found Porter’s fingerprints on the Ramen package.

After being arrested and read his Miranda Rights, Porter admitted to shooting Webb.

He is being held with no bond.
