A vehicle struck two pedestrians in Stockton, leaving one dead and another injured, police say.
STOCKTON, Calif. — A man died and another man was injured after they were struck by a vehicle in Stockton on Thursday night, according to the Stockton Police Department.
Around 7:20 p.m., officers were driving near the 900 block of North El Dorado Street when they came upon a crash, police said. A vehicle had struck two pedestrians, according to police.
Both men were taken to the hospital where one of them was pronounced dead from their injuries. The other pedestrian is being treated for the injuries. His condition is unknown.
The driver of the vehicle remained on scene and cooperated with the investigation, police said.
Alcohol or drugs do not appear to be a factor.
The crash remains under investigation.
