Car crashes into beloved, family-owned Tri-State restaurant

MASON, Ohio (WXIX) – A car crashed into a beloved, family-owned restaurant in downtown Mason early Monday, according to Mason police.

No one was hurt when a vehicle hit Quatman Cafe at 224 West Main Street (U.S. 42) shortly after 4 a.m., police tell FOX19 NOW.

The restaurant, known for its affordable, award-winning burgers and homemade soups and chili, was closed at the time, and no one was hurt, police confirm.

Since police are still in the early part of their investigation, a supervisor declined to say if the driver stayed at the scene or whether any charges would be filed.

It was also not immediately clear if the eatery was damaged to the point that its operating hours would be impacted on Monday.

Police say more details will be released later.
