WATERMAN, Ill. (WIFR) – A man is arrested after deputies say he broke into a home and video recorded a sleeping person, before physically assaulting them.

37-year-old Ismael Ponce-Blas, of Aurora, faces two charges of domestic battery and a charge of felony criminal trespass.

Around 8 a.m., Dec. 27, Dekalb County Sheriff’s Office responded to a call about a domestic dispute in the 600 block of E. Garfield Street in Waterman.

Deputies report, Ponce-Blas entered the home without permission and filmed the victim sleeping. Upon further investigation, deputies say a domestic battery took place once the victim awoke.

Ponce-Blas was placed under arrest and taken to the Dekalb County Jail.
