GOLDSBORO, N.C. (WTVD) — Goldsboro Police are investigating a shooting that left one man seriously injured.
Officers responded just after 11:05 p.m. Friday to the Sheetz convenience store at 1003 N. Spence Ave. They found a 19-year-old man with a gunshot wound. EMS took him to UNC Health Wayne. The victim, identified as Jeffrey Wayne Moses Jr., of Dudley, was later flown to ECU Health in Greenville and listed in serious condition.
The incident remains under active investigation.
Fast-food robbery
Goldsboro police are also investigating a robbery at a KFC.
They responded about 8:04 p.m. on Friday to a ShotSpotter alert in the area of 700 E. Ash Street. While officers were on the way, an additional call was received reporting that the KFC at that location had just been robbed.
That incident also remains under active investigation.
