Man arrested after Christmas day vehicle pursuit in West Fargo

WEST FARGO, N.D. (Valley News Live) – On December 25, at approximately 7:14 p.m., the West Fargo Police Department responded to a report of a disturbance in the 2900 block of 7th Street W.

The caller reported that a male suspect assaulted them and stole their vehicle.

At approximately 7:40 p.m., officers located the suspect vehicle in the area and attempted a traffic stop.

The vehicle fled the scene and a pursuit was initiated. Shortly after the start of the pursuit the suspect vehicle crashed into a tree and then struck a nearby residence, causing minimal damage near the intersection of Kensington Drive and Hidden Circle.

The suspect was identified as 35-year-old Dennis Jones from Boulder Colorado. Jones is facing multiple charges including fleeing a peace officer, theft of a motor vehicle, driving under suspension, and protecting order violation and domestic assault.

Jones was transported to a local hospital for injuries and the suspect vehicle was impounded.
