PIERRE, S.D. – South Dakota Attorney General Marty Jackley announced Tuesday that authorities have identified the body found Dec. 5, 2025 in Fall River County as 34-year-old Daisy King.
South Dakota’s Division of Criminal Investigation (DCI) was requested by the Fall River County Sheriff’s Office to investigate the body found located two miles north of Ardmore, SD, alongside the railroad tracks on South Dakota Highway 71.
Attorney General Jackley said an autopsy has been performed, and authorities are awaiting final test results. Foul play is not currently suspected, and there is no ongoing threat to the public.
The deceased has most recently been living in Alliance, NE with connections to the Nebraska communities of Lincoln, Chadron, and Gordon.
Agencies assisting DCI in the investigation are the Fall River County Sheriff’s Office, FBI Rapid City Office, Nebraska State Patrol, Alliance Police Department, and BNSF Railroad Law Enforcement.
