MILLARD, Neb. (WOWT) – The Omaha Police Department is investigating after a man’s body was found in a dumpster Saturday afternoon.

On Sunday, OPD reported the man had been identified as Cord Trout, 47, of Omaha.

According to an OPD statement, police were called to a dumpster near 136th Street and Discovery Drive at about 4:40 p.m. Saturday.

When emergency crews got to the scene, they pronounced the man dead.

“Based on information gathered to this point, there is no information to suggest there is a threat to the public,” per OPD.

The investigation is ongoing.
