Man found shot and killed in street northeast of downtown KCMO

The Kansas City, Missouri, Police Department responded to Admiral Boulevard and The Paseo early Sunday morning on a reported shooting. Just before 4:30 a.m., officers found an adult man shot and lying in the road near the intersection just south of Independence Avenue.Emergency medical services declared the victim dead on the scene. A KCPD spokesperson said there’s no preliminary information about what led up to the shooting or whether there is a person of interest at this time.Detectives are at the scene to gather evidence and talk to witnesses.
