Wrong way driver arrested for 5th OWI in Rock County | Crime

ROCK COUNTY, (WKOW) – A 37-year-old Janesville man was arrested on Saturday for driving under the influence on I-39/90, according to the Wisconsin State Patrol.

Authorities made the arrest after receiving multiple reports of a driver heading southbound in the northbound lanes just before 10 p.m.

Steven T. Sauerzopf, 37, was taken into custody for his fifth offense of operating while impaired. 

A Wisconsin State Trooper observed signs of impairment, leading to an investigation and the subsequent arrest.

There were no reports of injuries.
