A man’s body was found floating in a canal Tuesday in southwest Miami-Dade, officials said.

Miami-Dade Sheriff’s deputies responded before 4 p.m. to the area of Southwest 8th Street and 76th Court and found the unidentified male. Paramedics pronounced him dead at the scene.

There was no information on the man’s identity or manner of death.

A death investigation is underway.

The off-ramp to Southwest 8th Street on the Palmetto Expressway was closed for the investigation.
