Family identified man whose body was found on Kesler Road as 44-year-old Josh English. The GBI and Franklin County Sheriff’s Office are investigating his death.

FRANKLIN COUNTY, Ga. — A month shy of his 45th birthday, Josh English was found dead along Kesler Road in Franklin County.

Authorities say the circumstances surrounding his death remain under investigation.

According to the Franklin County Sheriff’s Office, deputies were called to Kesler Road on Dec. 7 for a report of an individual lying on the roadside.

When deputies arrived, they found a man unresponsive. First responders rushed to the scene, but it was too late.

The sheriff’s office requested assistance from the Georgia Bureau of Investigation to determine what led to the death.

The GBI has not yet released a formal statement, and investigators say the case remains active.

Jason English told 11Alive the victim is his twin brother, Josh English.

“He had a heart of gold,” Jason said. “He always devoted his time to others in need. He had a family that deeply loved him.”

He said they were born in Atlanta and grew up most of their lives in Gwinnett County.

Jason said the family is struggling to understand what happened on that stretch of Kesler Road and is hoping anyone with information will contact authorities.
