HOUSTON, Texas (KTRK) — A man pushing his bike was hit and killed by a vehicle in northeast Houston on Thursday night, according to the Houston Police Department.
According to HPD, officers responded to the crash in the 9000 block of Jensen Drive.
HPD Sgt. Matthew Sudduth says that the victim, who is approximately 50 years old, was pushing his bike over the street in a non-designated crosswalk and was hit by a driver who police say didn’t see him.
Police say that there were no signs of intoxication with the driver who struck the victim.
Police say the driver stayed on the scene and is cooperating.
An investigation is still ongoing.
