CHARLOTTE, N.C. — A crash on I-485 is causing traffic delays during rush hour on Thursday.

The crash happened on the I-485 inner loop near mile marker 31 and the exit to I-85, according to the North Carolina Department of Transportation. It’s not clear what led to the crash.

Authorities have not said if there are any injuries. Several cars appear to be involved.

The crash is impacting traffic on both the inner and outer loops of I-485. The shoulders of both loops are closed.

The crash is expected to be cleared at 6:44 p.m.
