Two inmates found dead in Madison Parish detention center

MADISON PARISH, La. (KNOE) – Investigator Brandon Wilcher of the Madison Parish Sheriff’s Office has announced the death of two inmates in the Madison Parish detention center.

Investigators say four inmates were found unconscious on Tuesday around 7 p.m. According to investigators after being found inmates received first aid and Narcan and two were revived.

Investigators believe the four inmates smoked something that was brought into the prison but still have no confirmation.

According to investigators an investigation is still ongoing and more information will be provided at a later time.
