ELKVIEW, W.Va. (WCHS) — A portion of Interstate 79 South was closed for hours after multiple crashes occurred in Kanawha County Thursday afternoon, emergency dispatchers said.
Issues were reported at mile marker 7.5 shortly after 1 p.m. in Elkview, according to a Metro 911 alert.
Emergency personnel said the roadway opened about 4 p.m.
Dispatchers said multiple vehicles have wrecked, but no injuries were reported.
