An arrest has been made after charred remains of two bodies were discovered at a home in Spartanburg County, South Carolina. The Spartanburg County Sheriff’s Office said deputies were called to a home on Evelyn Drive in Mayo just before 9 p.m. for a welfare check.Deputies said they found a body and the coroner’s office was called. On Friday night, the coroner’s office said the investigation revealed burned remains of two people.Authorities said one body was identified by a surgical implant, but they are still working on notifying next of kin.The coroner said a medical implant was discovered on the second body, but the coroner has not yet identified that person. Also on Friday night, the sheriff’s office said 46-year-old Kevin Matthew McAllister of Double Branch Road was arrested and has been charged with murder.As of 7 p.m. Friday, McAllister has been taken into custody and is being booked into the Spartanburg County Detention Center. A bond hearing will be held at 2 p.m. Saturday.
