PEORIA COUNTY (25News Now) – A 65-year-old man died, and another person suffered minor injuries from a two-vehicle crash Saturday afternoon near Glasford.

Peoria County Sheriff Chris Watkins on Sunday released details of the crash at the intersection of Glasford and Glasford-Canton roads.

Watkins said the accident happened when the driver who died did not stop at the stop sign.

The sheriff said the man was dead at the scene, while the other driver suffered minor injuries.

Sheriff’s deputies and the Timber Hollis Fire Protection District shut down the intersection for several hours after the crash, which was reported shortly after 4 p.m.

Peoria County Coroner Jamie Harwood has not released the victim’s name.
