The bicyclist who was killed Dec. 19 after being struck by a pickup truck has been identified as Eddie Kennedy, 64.

According to the Odessa Police Department, Kennedy was traveling south in the 7700 block of Andrews Highway when he was struck from behind by a Chevrolet pickup around 7:15 p.m.

Kennedy was taken to Medical Center Hospital where he was later pronounced deceased.

The investigation is ongoing.
