FRIDAY MORNING UPDATE 12/19:On Friday morning, The Allegheny County Medical Examiner identified the two men killed in Thursday’s shooting in Carrick as Quaziah Jones, 23, of McKeesport and Damien Powell, 27.EARLIER REPORT:Two people are dead after being shot in Pittsburgh’s Carrick neighborhood early Thursday evening, police said.Watch the breaking news report in the video player abovePolice responded to Linnview Avenue near Brownsville Road for a 12-round ShotSpotter alert at about 5:15 p.m.Pittsburgh Public Safety spokesperson Eliza Durham said two men who had been shot in the chest were found on the sidewalk. Police responded to Linnview Avenue near Brownsville Road for a 12-round ShotSpotter alert at about 5:15 p.m.

Pittsburgh Public Safety spokesperson Eliza Durham said two men who had been shot in the chest were found on the sidewalk. Both were pronounced dead at the hospital.

“The actor fled on foot down Nobles Lane,” Durham said.

The names of the men, ages 23 and 27, have not been released.

Durham said two guns were found at the scene.

A suspect has not been identified as police continue to investigate.
