Investigators are seeking witnesses to a crash in Monroe County Thursday that claimed two lives.
ELLETTSVILLE, Ind. — Two people are dead after crash involving two vehicles in Monroe County Thursday.
It happened just before 9 p.m. on State Road 46 near Cypress Lane in Ellettsville.
An Ellettsville Police Department spokesperson said a preliminary investigation suggests a car going west on the highway crossed the center line and collided head-on with an eastbound vehicle.
The spokesperson said both occupants of the westbound vehicle were killed in the crash. Three people in the other vehicle were treated for injuries at a Bloomington hospital and were said to be in stable condition.

The identities of two people killed is being withheld pending notification of relatives.
